Adriana Zabala has been praised by The Wall Street Journal as showing “tremendous stamina and boy-like flair,” The New York Times as “a vivid, fearless presence,” and the L.A. Times as “extraordinary.” Ms. Zabala enjoys a vibrant and unique career that includes opera, song repertoire, new works, concert and oratorio. Within the last few seasons, Ms. Zabala has been seen with Seattle Opera, Florentine Opera, Minnesota Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Arizona Opera, Opera Saratoga, Minnesota Orchestra, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Jacksonville Symphony, the Virginia Symphony, the Madison Symphony, the New York Festival of Song, Berkshire Opera Festival, Madison Opera, the Charlotte Symphony, the Colorado Symphony, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and at the Caramoor International Music Festival among others.


Recent seasons have included appearances as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro with Opera Colorado and Minnesota Opera, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Handel & Haydn Society, Manja in the world premiere of Steal a Pencil for Me with Opera Colorado, Paula in Florencia en el Amazonas with both San Diego Opera and Madison Opera, and Lucy in Fellow Travelers  with Minnesota Opera. Engagements for the 2019-2020 season include Miss Jessel in The Turn of the Screw with On Site Opera, Beethoven’s Mass with the Phoenix Symphony, Mary Johnson in Fellow Travelers with Madison Opera, and Abilene’s Mother in Edward Tulane with Minnesota Opera.
