Here’s a fine review of JAMIE-ROSE GUARRINE, AMANDA CRIDER, AND JOHN HOOMES for Florentine Opera Com

“When you’re having a really good time in the theater, you hate to see the curtain fall, and so it was at Friday evening’s Florentine Opera production of “Die Fledermaus.” The Johann Strauss II operetta, directed by JOHN HOOMES, was beautifully sung, opulently set and costumed, performed entirely in English, and liberally spiced with interpolations of local and pop culture references. . . JAMIE-ROSE GUARRINE played a bubbly Adele, singing the role, including the famous “Laughing Song,” with a winning mix of ringing sound, technical ease and theatrical character. . . Mezzo-soprano AMANDA CRIDER enabled much of the silliness in the pants role of Prince Orlofsky” -Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
