In Review: Abreu in Pittsburgh Opera's "Don Pasquale"

"Tenor Javier Abreu . . . his lyricism was superb.”-Pittsburgh Post Gazette

"Javier Abreu, a Resident Artist with the company some years ago, sang the tenor role of Ernesto. His voice is warm, if rather light, but he wisely doesn’t force to make a larger sound. He phrases well, and acts the part with comic results. He was heard to best advantage in the brief but lovely duet with Norina which comes late in the evening."
