Marie-Eve Munger

soprano

Canadian coloratura soprano Marie-Eve Munger has been hailed for her crystalline timbre, soaring range and moving performances. Opéra Magazine hailed Ms. Munger’s Ophelia, saying “Her death scene summoned tears as she dispatched her full high notes with beautiful suppleness, negotiating without flaw the many roulades and

chromatic scales.”

The 2017-2018 season saw Ms. Munger as La Fée in Pinocchio with La Monnaie in Brussels and Opéra de Dijon, L’Infante in Der Zwerg with Opéra de Lille and Opéra de Renne, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady with Opéra de Marseille, Gilda in Rigoletto with Minnesota Opera, and Roméo et Juliette with Opéra de Montreal. Engagements for 2018-2019 included La fée in Cendrillon with Lyric Opera of Chicago and Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos with Opéra de Lausanne. The 2019-2020 season sees her as Ophélie in Hamlet with Angers-Nantes Opera and Opera de Rennes, Countess Adele in Le comte Ory with Opera de Toulon, and Fire/Nightingale in L’enfant et les sortilèges with the Orchestre Symphonique de Quebec.
